I used to when I had cable and didn't only use the internet at work and libraries...
but it's been a year since I've seen anything but UFC reruns and the occasional IFL or Bodog event. I'm outta the loop lately, bigtime.

I like UFC, Dream, I think World Victory Road looks good too, I keep track of a lot of MMA events, that Dream grandprix is very interesting to me, Eddie Alvarez is doing very good in it, he is scheduled to fight Joachim Hansen, that should be a brawl, and especially fighters in there like Kawajiri, and Ishida. Should be an excellent grand prix, I would rather see Heavyweight though, see if they put Cro Cop in it you know

I watch WEC, UFC, Old Pride, and would like to check out Dream since I hear it is looking good thus far. I almost would predict that Fedor goes there so I'm interested but no, I haven't checked out anything but clips from other organizations. I try to catch fights on MMATKO.com cause they put up Fights the day after they happen so thats where I peep the game.

Pride (Yea, I still rewatch some of their cards), Dream, TKO, UFC, WEC, IFL, EXC, M-1, and pretty much anything else I can watch... as long as the cards are alright. Hell, I even keep up with Boxing and K-1...

They will be a great org if they acquire talents to go up against Barnett and Gomi in their respective divisions.

UFC is the definition of MMA, I watch other stuff just so I can appreciate the quality of UFC even more, Dana White and the Fertitties made MMA what it is today.

And MMA in America will never do what Pride was doing in Japan....fuckin yakuza killed pride if anything ufc made mma worst. They bought Pride and and became a monopoly and now they have 45 dollar ppv's with only one fight with top ten ranked fighters and a bunch of cans from TUF it sucks, but unfortunately its all we have

Pride was killed by bad business sense, they ran themselves into the ground
The UFC didn't buy out Pride just so they could eliminate the competition, Pride was so messed up that UFC couldn't get it back up and running if they wanted to, they just wanted the contracts of certain fighters so they could put on fights like Sylvia/Nogueira and Silva/Liddell, those fights would have never happened if they didn't buy out Pride, Pride was too scared to co-promote those fights
UFC did us all a favor when they bought out Pride.

I don't think it was PRIDE being scared to co-promote. The UFC is ran by some guys who refuse to co-promote fights that could benefit any company besides the UFC. They wouldn't do it for Fedor/Couture for absolutely no reason so what makes you think they would've done it for Sylvia/Noguiera and Silva/Liddell? Because Dana White said something like this? Dana White insults Fedor then turns around and tries to sign him again. Dana White says he's not interested in Josh Barnett.... why? Because he completely dismantled Couture in their first fight? Yea I think that's why... or perhaps it's because he is better than 99% of the fighters in the UFC HW division. I'm sure he could decimate Mark Coleman or Brock Lesnar, Tim Sylvia might give him a run for his money but he's no longer on the UFC roster. The current UFC HW Champ (Yea, he's not the interim champ in my book. Couture forfeited his belt as soon as he stated he's not interested in fighting Noguiera.) was almost submitted by Barnett via kneebar in PRIDE but Dana White doesn't want him in the UFC. The bottom line is the UFC is full of overrated fighters with a handful of top tier talent that is getting slimmer each year. Hell, I can't even name many MW's that are worth a damn in the UFC... Anderson Silva? He's not P4P the best, he got subbed by Ryo Chonan... anyone that has been subbed by a less than stellar fighter cannot be P4P the best. Rich Franklin who got KO'd by Anderson Silva twice with ease? Dan Henderson is probably the only one and I think he just threw that fight against Silva. He was probably paid off by the Fertitas so they could keep buildling up Anderson Silva since everyone thinks he's so great. Their HW Division had 2 guys in it that were worth my time and one of them is gone. I don't think Gonzaga/Nog, Werdum/Nog, Kongo/Nog, Herring/Nog, Arlovski/Nog, or any of the rest of the HW matchups that could be thrown at Nog are even worth watching. The best out of all of them I just named would probably be Arlovski/Nog if Arlovski actually showed up to fight, which I doubt he would. Their LW Division is stacked with guys like BJ Penn and Sean Sherk topping the division... okay, so maybe it's not. I mean BJ is THE ONLY guy in that division that's worth a damn. Unless they bring in some top 10 guys from around the world Penn will be the champ in the UFC for a long time to come. The WW division is topped off by Georges St. Pierre who is arguably the best fighter in the UFC altogether but wait, He lost to the likes of Matt Serra who hasn't even fought since winning the damn belt ALMOST A YEAR AGO. He dodges Matt Hughes and then they put off the fuckin' GSP/Serra rematch forever and it's going to be one of the most worthless rematches ever since Serra will probably just get decimated (Probably!). The LHW division seems to be standing tall with Silva, Liddell, Rampage, Griffin, and Shogun. Yea, Shogun got dominated in his debut by Forrest, Liddell is fresh off a win over Silva, Jardine just dominated Liddell, Rampage dominated Liddell then outlasted Dan Henderson in a fairly uneventful fight. All in all, the UFC is good but their talent pool is far from the best. They bought out PRIDE for one reason and one reason only, contracts. They never had any intentions of rebuilding it, if they did we would be watching PRIDE PPV's to this day.

#1 UFC sent fighters over to Pride to represent UFC, Pride never did that, proof right there that UFC was always the willing participant. #2 Who would you say is pound for pound the best if not Anderson Silva? There is nobody at the moment winning as impressively as he is. #3 The UFC's WW and LW divisions are each more stacked with talent than any of the former Pride divisions. #4 Pride was so screwed up by the former owners that the UFC couldn't continue with it, that's why Pride sold out, they were broke and digging a deeper whole for themselves, the UFC did what was best for the fans, they made sure they got the contracts they needed to put on the fights the fans always wanted to see, Pride or no Pride, we got to see those fights. UFC is the best.
