I... just don't know what to say.
Good job catching me with one, Aaron. Did my best to stay away though.
When I came in the fight though I knew you would pull something like that and try to KO me early so the fight wouldn't go to the ground. I was gonna try to wear you down but with the size advantage factoring in it wasn't gonna be the case tonight. I'll keep training, and hopefully I'll bounce back from this.
((Honestly though... It's just weird. Really really weird.))

Damn good fight Dan Graves! We were both throwing strikes like mad men! I would rather lose to a stand up battle then win by Neck Crank/Key Lock and day.

Premature stoppage. I hate to complain about fights, but I still knew what I was doing. I had my submission locked on still, the ref shouldn't have stopped it. I have taken much worse abuse than that in the Kumite and walked away victorious, as I would have then had the ref not jumped in.
I'll be back for what is rightfully mine. Enjoy what you have while you still can Sykes.

While I do very much respect you, I had to ensure you didn't have time to set your pace against me like you did with Thomson before. So rather than allow that to happen, I decided for this fight I was going to wait for you to give me that smallest window and go for the home run shot. Don't take it hard, Take it for what it was. I respected you enough to come at you full force with 150%. Tonight was my night. Who knows what the next night will bring. |
