I just wonder what people think of the two sims. What you like and dislike about each one.

NHB is the better sim I think (its been so long since I played it though, doesn't work with Vista) because the fights are simmed better and there is more a chance of upsets happening on NHB than UMS. But when UMS 2 comes out it should be a good simulator as the creator is basing some new stuff on NHB like the strats we use in SOHK.

I like the way fights plat out in UMS. I've played with NHB for years and it's kind of easy to figure out. UMS presents a challenge. I was in a league with the UMS sim and I liked it. The league was run kinda screwey but the fights were cool.

NHB sim is awesome, easier to read to me. The UMS sim does that damn time thing and it gets really annoying. NHB all the way

I like the UMS a little better, if I was running a sim league I would use UMS, it keeps track of things better, it's easier to sim fights, it's a something newer that not everyone has figured out, there's a lot more room for customization, and it has more depth than NHB
The things I don't like are the way the fights are presented, there are a lot of grammatical errors and it's kind of weird, upsets are less likely, most of the time the highest rated guy is going to win
They're both pretty close in quality, but I would give the edge to UMS.

there are a lot of grammatical errors Funny I don't really notice that, but then again I can't spell worth a crap and I am slightly dyslectic. Funny I use to Spend most of my time Roleplaying in E-feds.

I hate the UMS sim with a passion. everybody said it was more realistic but I have my doubts seeing as how I gave somebody 8 cuts on there eyebrows, three on their cheeks, and 1 on their nose.
On another crappy note, I created a guy that does nothing but submissions and set his strat to reflect that. His standing strat is "take it to the ground" and his ground strat is "Submissions only".
Yet he tries to stand and throw bombs all the time and when he does take it to the ground he has only attempted a sub once, all other times it has been nothing but ground and pound.
Basically, I have vowed never to compete ina UMS sim org again because of all the flaws I have seen with it.

It is buggy, but on the upside it's easier to set things up and easier to keep track of everything with this sim. It's also the only one still being updated if I'm not mistaken.

NHB for now until maybe when UMS 2 comes out. Both of these still operate upon probability and stuff I think, so more simple strats==harder-to-control fighting.
One upside though is that UMS's in active development, unlike NHB wherein the dev... uh, disappeared.

Well if Conrad is thinking about switching or something, he could run one show using the UMS and another show using NHB, then let the fighters pick which show they want to be on, or both if they choose.

IF i was planing on switching it most likly be after the upgrade to UMS 2. Which I am hoping to set some time a side to help with the comment part that the guys needs help with. I also just saw that some on went and fix most of the spelling and grammer on the forum for it. Unless the NHB sim keeps acting up on me...

Maybe we could get the link to both Sims on here so those who maybe are new and clueless to what is being discussed can dip their hands into understanding. When I first came to soHK I fought like 3 fights without even seeing the sim. I didn't know I could have it as well untill I finally came around to asking about it when I got with GFS. So I'm still newer to the Sim but I've worked to get better with it thanks to the help I've gotten from Shooter and Company.
I've never even heard of the UMS Sim so maybe someone has the link so I can use it just incase Conrad does switch up when UMS 2 comes out.
