It has been said by both parties that Randy and Fedor want to go toe to toe. This has been the major reason that Coture has been on hiatus with Dana White and the UFC for the past year.
While Fedor has said that he wants to fight Randy next I must wonder why he didnt sign with the UFC. I know Dana must have offered him a decent pay for a top heavyweight like Fedor despite his BS that he didnt think fedor was a good fighter.
So here is my question: Will they ever meet in the ring or will contract issues and other bullshit beat down Randy and Fedor as the both continue thier personal bout with Father Time.

Fedor didn't sign with the UFC because he wanted more freedom than the UFC would allow. He didn't want to be locked into a long term contract and that was all the UFC was offering. I believe Randy's contract is null and void by the end of August at which time he'll be free to book the fight. We talked about this on the show last week but I'll bring it up again here.
1) Fedor has stated that he wants to fight twice more this year. In September and on New Years in Japan. Which card will he fight Randy on? If it's New Years (as I think it will be) the he'll have a fight in September.
2) If he fights in September and it isn't against Randy then who will it be?
BTW Stone, I like your questions and topics. You should check out our show sometime. We could use guys like you.

I think there are more possible opponents for Fedor than Randy. If they cant get the Randy fight signed because of Randy's as you can probably call it "custody" battle with the UFC. I think there are some opponents like Josh Barnett, Andrei Arlovski, and Randy. Those are the 3 only opponents that I can see Fedor fighting in the future.

ok no disrespect to Arlovski, or Barnette i think both are at the top of their game (whats this about arlovski trainin wit freddie roach btw?  ) but a fight between Fedor and Coture is a fight that legends are made of. I know that sounds corny but look at the fight OFF of paper. Coture is arguably the most well respected member of MMA. He has always represented himself and his camp with respect and dignity, He never badmouths guys and the man loves this sport with every bone in his body. I feel like this guy would sell his soul to the devil for MMA. Fedor is a monster, a freak of nature made of the same stuff as Anderson Silva and GSP this aura of "you cant beat me on your best day" I feel BJ Penn has it as well if he would stay in his own weightclass! the guy holds a loss to Lyoto Machida mainly cuz he wanted to fight him at lightheavy wtf? moving on, Fedor continusly proves without a shadow of a doubt as the best heavyweight in the world. Heres what i love about Fedor too, you cant break the guy. hes like made of super titanium i remember watching Kevin Randleman (I know big name) slamming him on his neck and Fedor looks like someone just opened a window. "Excuse me Kevin? did you leave a window open? I felt a breeze? oh excuse me while i Kimura you for your trouble. Oh and one other thing that makes me feel in my bones this matchup will never happen, after doing a little reasurch on both these guys I got a result that really bothers me. At Rings: King of Kings 2000 both Fedor and Randy were in the tournament. However this is the one time that Fedor was given a loss by a man known as "TK" from a cut that Fedor to this day claims was an illegal strike however the referee called it a clean blow and elimanted him, Coture later in the tournament was beaten by Valeyjetin Overeem. but if they both would have continued that would have been the final bout but two of the best heavyweight contenders in history didnt meet, so again im leaning towards Cruel Fate. I hope that Coture wins his divorce battle and gives Dana a big handshake when we all know what hes really thinking "I beat you, you son of a bitch, I always win!" Go Randy!!!! AND btw I love rear naked Radio!!! so bwah! |

I think this fight will happen and I also think Randy will win it. I'm done doubting that guy. This fight has just got to happen or else MMA would have lost out on one of the greatest match ups ever. I heard that if it does happen it will be fought in a ring and not a cage?

I want to see either one of those fights. Barnett more than Arlovski though. Arlovski just to shut people up and Barnett to see how good Fedor really is. Barnett is a good test for anyone and honestly I could see Arlovski/Barnett to see who faces Fedor for his title. One thing that sucks, Aleksander Emelianenko will never be fighting in the states. He has Hepatitis B from what I understand, is there any truth to this? |

To be honest, Im not quite as on board with the hype train of a Couture vs Fedor fight. I would prefer to see Barnett fight Fedor, Barnett has been calling Fedor out since back in Pride when Randy was still a commentator. I also think that Barnett is a better fighter than Couture, he was in the past and I think he has improved more since then as well.

He lost to Crocop 3 times in his stint in PRIDE. Though one of them was a complete fluke (I still have no clue what happened there) which ended in Barnett tapping because of an injury. I say Barnett/Couture 2 then the winner faces Fedor. Either that or Fedor destroys Couture then faces Barnett (IF he destroys Couture). |

Oct. 11 Fedor vs. Arlovski has been confirmed. FUCK ME RUNNING!!!!! Awesome, now Andrei Arlovski can finally be destroyed and will never be mentioned in the same sentence as Fedor again. At least that's what I hope happens. If Andrei wins then I'm going to shit myself, but I see Fedor taking it to the ground and GnP'ing him to a pulp. No subs, in the Standup I give the edge to Arlovski, but Fedor is no slouch there, and according to Tim Sylvia he hits harder than even Arlovski. He has proved he can stand in with top tier strikers when he exchanged flurries with Crocop (Before the UFC when he was at the top of his game). Crocop has since lost all hype and will be dropping out of all rankings soon. I mean, he didn't just beat Josh Barnett 2 times (Injury not counted) for nothing. Crocop is a legit threat to anyone, the UFC just screwed him with Nut-cheick and Gonzaga (who I feel was his only REAL loss in the UFC) Nut-cheick should've been DQ'ed for like 4 shots to the testicles. I don't know if Crocop wants kids, but I'm sure if he didn't he would've got a vasectomy. |

I wasnt oy ve. But if i had to pick one of the two it would of had to be Barnette he is the more well rounded fighter where Fedor just will take Arlovski down and submit him or TKO him. almost a forgone conclusion.
