ooc- Frankly, I think this is kinda a bad idea for the state of the league. This automatically eliminates 3 of the top fighters in one night and then will effectively kill off any competition left for the remaining one who wins. So no real reason to stick around for that guy after it's done, unless they want to sandbag it against newbs for a few weeks. There's no reason for me to stick around after this pseudo-tournamnt goes down, unless I want to fight Xeonovich back-to-back-to-back for my last 3 fights (or however many I decide to take before my inevitable and fasst approaching retirement). This will effectively clean out the HW and LHW divisions simultaneously. It leaves no burn to the league after this. Just sort of a pop and fizzle. I know all of these fighters were in the twilight of their career anyways, but to rid the league of them all in one fell swoop? I don't know how interesting the next few cards will be after that... And besides, (on a more selfish note) this is ruining the plans I had for Dux's retirement!!!!

it's all about you eh Sensei? What about this. These guys were planning on retiring anyway. They will be free to help other fighters (OOC start new guys) It makes it harder for you but it also opens the league up for more than 90 percent that can't seem to beat these four guys. I see where it's hard for you because it really does leave you and Aaron alone but maybe that will be a hint for you to think about retiring. Your time is done Sensei. You are a great coach and a great fighter but it's time for you older fighters to move into the light and make way for us.
I hope the ring caves in on all four of them. I love Noc but the rest can just disappear. Noc will at last be free and happy.

ooc- Oh, I know all of these guys were planning on retiring anyways (I've had conversations with three of these four fighters about theirs and my retirement) I think it's just such a sudden blow to the dynamics of the league for ALL of them to be cleaned out in one night.
I totally agree that it's time for me and most of them to get the hell out of here, or join some super-division (if they REALLY want to keep this fighter), cause things are getting pretty stale here for the top fighters.

Conrad, I'm all in this. You name the weight and i'll meet it.
OOC-Yeah, as much as I hate to retire a top caliber fighter, theres not much competition at this level, which means I go multiple events without fights. Which when you already arent getting points anymore, means your sitting there twiddling your thumbs... Kind of boring.

It's up to Conrad though, his thoughts are needed. ooc: Rofl, that would be the best fight ever.

Also, if we are going to finalize this, lets decide on a format. Shooter seems to want a 4-man elimination tourney. I suggested the 4-man round robin tourney.
Such as:
Sykes V Thomson Shooter V Noc Thomson V Shooter Noc V Sykes Shooter V Sykes Thomson V Noc
Top 2 winners face off for the best. The winner can choose to stick around, the losers retire.
Any other suggestions?

I 'd like this to be bigger than just the four of us. These are the fighters I'd like to see involved.
Shooter Noc Sykes Jimmy Dux Xeno
No offense to anyone else but the six of us are at the top of the food chain and will always only be fighting ourselves. This could be the greatest tournament of all time. I hinestly don't know who would win. That and we're all around the same weight class.

I always wished there was someway you could do a royal rumble with the SIM, or a "guantlet"- where it would be like a one-night tourney for a fighter, but he's always facing fresh guys.
This can work and still be interesting to the division as long as it's not a one-nighter.
A Last Hurrah for the old-timers in the HW and LHW divisions.
