Also you can grant extra points for people who write out events in the house. Just pick the best one. Me and Shooter can be coaches and at the end we can have a rubber match!!! ooooooo that would be perfect!

This is a great idea. I would be willing to do it. And shooter/thompson as the coaches is a great idea as well.
but the title shots, not so great, because the person coming off as the winner still wouldn't have enough points to beat a champion (probably)
It could be in another category on the forums called "the School of Hard Knox" or "Hard Knox Academy". Something like that. the first two division in house could be the two biggest, for fighters under 100 points or something. One fight a week (decided randomly or let the coaches pick the fighters.)(first week would be a LW fight while the second would be a HW, and it would keep altering.)
a fighter can't fight a second time until everyone else has had at least one fight. (this would prevent a coach from using the same fighter, or same two fighters every event)
and fighters could write in house roleplays like in an e-fed or something to crate drama. (of course you could not write about beating somebody up in house, but you could write about talking shit to somebody, in which they would reply with there shit talking etc. etc.)
losers are eliminated while winners get 1 point and all fighter that didn't fight get .5 (losers also get .5)
so the first season could be LW's and HW's. 8 lW's, 8 HW's, and the coaches either draft, or they are randomly placed on teams. there fore each coach has a team of 8 (4 LW's, 4HW's) if the teams become unbalanced, (for example, Graham has 4 LW's while Thompson has 2) either the winning team picks a fighter to go over to the other team or a random fighter goes over.
When it comes down to 1 LW and 1 HW on each team, SoHK could have a "Hard Knox fight night" which the remaining contestants would square off in co-main events, while the rest of the card uses some under card fighters.
That is the best I got, but I believe that Conrad could use this along with some of his own ideas to get this thing rolling.
(also, while a fighter is on the show, he cannot compete in TNG. MNB would be up to Conrad. although it would be more realistic if a fighter could not compete on that either.)
(the 8 fighters from each Weightclass could volunteer and the empty spots that are left could be filled by fighters in the respective weightclasses of conrads choice. as long as they are under 100 points.)
Well conrad, what do you think. comments from other would be greatly appreciated as well.

well i would keep it at 100 to make it fair. if someone at 100 and somone at 93 clash, it is already unfair, but to make the disadvantage even more would off balance the show and whoever has the most points would win the show hands down.
and another thing, the fighters competing wouldn't be allowed to go past 100 points while on the show. (they would still get points, but the points would save up until they are off the show in which they could spend all the points that they earned on the show.)
So if I am at 99 I can spend the .5 for not fighting at 2 shows. so that I am at 100. after that all points that I get would be banked, so say I lasted for five more shows. When I leave I would have 2.5 (or more depending on if I won a fight or not) that I could spend on whatever. This also will help the show be more balanced.

basically, if you lose a fight, you are off of the show, you go back to competing on MNB and whatnot. But if you survive on the show, you continue to build up .5 points each week unless you win a fight in which you get an extra .5 for winning.

I thought we already had a system of going through the ranks trying to find the next up and coming fighter to be thrown into the mix and possibly be the next contender...
It's called the School of Hard Knox.
This whole thing seems unnecessary with the MNBs in the mix, unless you award more points to those that are "on the show," but then it kinda becomes an unfair advantage to the fighters that were chosen for "the show" over the ones that may have not made the cut.
Otherwise, this is just the MNB tournament that is coming up next week anyways.

This sure sparked some debate. Thought this thread died out a while back.
I'd just like the idea of the whole thing, with a bunch of fighters just heading into one place, all fighting to become possibly the next big thing. I mean, just for the whole RPing aspect it could bring. It could build a possibly interesting drama/storyline if people actually put a little effort into it. There could be ongoing rivalries on the show between the coaches, and various members of the team.
Winner gets a title shot, and maybe some other incentives I should say. I just like the whole idea of it, but the MNB tourney is coming up. I guess that's kind of like the whole TUF thing. But that's my two cents on it.
